Scientific evidence suggests mindfulness meditation enhances physical and emotional health, and can be as effective as medication for preventing depression. Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is also recognised as a way of managing anxiety, enhancing stress-resilience, and enabling us to live life to the full.
In these guided meditations we aim to be aware more often, and to be fully present and open to experience in each moment.
This is an opportunity for both students and staff to experience secular meditation practices from the curriculum of MBCT, guided by Solanna Petrykowski who has a Masters degree in MBCT.
