Please note when making an appointment with Student Services an online diary system is used. The data that you provide is kept on an independent server that is only accessed by Student Services staff and used for administrative purposes.

Finding Us

The MW Service at Treforest is located on the main campus within the The Wellbeing Service on the 2nd floor of Ferndale – no.10 on the Treforest Campus map

How to Book an Appointment

Students can book an appointment with a Mental Wellbeing Adviser in any of the following ways:

  • For first appointment only: book an appointment online
  • Phone Student Services on 01443 482080 to book an appointment.
  • Come to the Student Services Reception desk in the Library. Ask to make an appointment to see a Mental Wellbeing Adviser.
  • Appointments are available from 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3pm on Friday.

Bookable on the day appointments

If you need to talk to someone very quickly, a 'Bookable on the Day’ appointment is available on some weekdays. These appointments are for 50 minutes and are not bookable in advance. They can only be booked on the same day by calling 01443 654827 or coming to Student Services reception from 9.00am.

Drop Ins

During term time The Wellbeing Service also offer short Drop-In slots which are:-

  • 20 minutes long
  • one-off slots to provide information and support
  • a useful way to find out details of other services and how to contact them
  • a place to understand what counselling or mental wellbeing support might involve before you decide if it is what you want or need.

The MW Service at Cardiff is located on the ground floor within the The Advice Zone.

How to Book an Appointment

Students can book an appointment with a Mental Wellbeing Adviser in any of the following ways:

  • For first appointment only: book an appointment online
  • Phone Student Services on 01443 482080 to book an appointment.
  • Come to the Advice Zone Reception desk on the ground floor. Ask to make an appointment to see a Mental Wellbeing Adviser.
  • Appointments are available from 9am to 1pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday.

Due to our current staffing levels, Glyntaff students are asked to come to the Treforest campus for appointments. Appointments at Treforest. If this is particularly difficult for you please email MWS@southwales.ac.uk for advice.
