Mental Health Awareness Week 2018

14th-20th May 2018 is Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 and there are several events on campus.

Wellbeing Stalls

The Wellbeing Service is having a stall on each campus promoting wellbeing and giving students the opportunity to 'get something off their chest’ by completing an anonymous slip that can be posted into a pirates chest. There will also be a self-care tree where ideas on how to take care of your wellbeing can be hung, and some freebies in the form of chocolate coins and water bottles.

The stall will be active from 11am-2pm at the following dates/locations:

  • Tuesday 15th – Cardiff Atrium (The Street)
  • Wednesday 16th – Treforest (Stilts)
  • Wednesday 16th – Glyntaff (Aneurin Bevan Reception)
  • Thursday 17th – Newport (B Floor)

Anxiety Management Workshops For Students

There are four Anxiety Management Workshops running during the week, one per campus.

Tuesday 15th May

Newport City Campus room NC E07 at 11.30am-12.30pm – Book.

Atruim Campus room CA AH 006 at 2pm–3pm – Book.

Thursday 17th May

Treforest Campus room TR H230 at 11.30am- 12.30pm – Book.

Glyntaff Campus room GT EM127 at 2pm- 3pm. – Book.

Students’ Union Events

The Students’ Union also have some events running:

Monday 14th May
Colouring at Newport City Library & Pet a Pooch at Glyntaff 10am-12pm & Treforest 2pm-4pm.

Tuesday 15th May
Library chill spaces 12pm-2pm at Treforest Library.

Wednesday 16th May
Colouring at Cardiff library.

Friday 17th May
Swansea Play Centre Trip 7pm – Book.
